Introduction
Boston String School & Orchestra was founded by a group of thriving
musicians in the greater Boston area who are dedicated to a professional
career of music performance and teaching. The mission of Boston String
School & Orchestra is to promote musical appreciation by people of all ages
and backgrounds, and to offer a high standard of comprehensive music
instruction and public performance. Boston String School & Orchestra would
like to thank the Musical Instruments Group of www.opentip.com for their
generious gifts and endowment that makes our student concerts possible.
Group & Private Lessons
We offer group and private musical instruction in the following instruments:
flute, violin, viola, cello, percussion, double bass, saxophone, electronic
music, piano, voice and guitar. You can learn to play violin here. Instruction for all instruments is available
in most popular and traditional styles. Click here for detail.
Schedule a Lesson
All private music lessons are scheduled on an individual basis. Instructors
conduct lessons weekly at a set time for 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Your
registration reserves your time slot for the duration of the quarter.
Priority is given to returning students and early registrants.
Call (617) 699-9388 for scheduling availability.
Faculty Qualifications
Every instructor in the faculty is selected through a rigorous evaluation
process. Instructors are chosen based on not only performance track record
but also proven teaching capability. Whether you are the parents of a child
or you are an adult student yourself, we understand that you are coming here
to learn, not to attend a concert. If you are interested in joining our
faculty or orchestra, please contact us.
Tuitions
Tuition rates may vary according to teacher. Tuition for private instruction
paid in full for a 16-week quarter. Students who register for private music
lessons after the first week will receive a pro-rated tuition for the
remainder of the quarter. Save up to 10% by registering for the entire
16-week session.
*Tuition rates may vary according to teacher on instrument. Call (617)
699-9388 for more pricing information.
